In tune with your Moses, your Destiney!

Into the unknown they go, full of hopes painted with some kind of expectations. The wish is for everything to turn out more than just all right, but great. This is the dive into learning the little ones get into when it is time for school. Lovely how brave they are with all the new and possibly the familiar, merged into one. Oh precious ones, your life has just begun all over again.

There sure is beauty in the beast growth is. The new environment, the new faces and a whole lot of fun rapped into one giant gift box that insist is time to open up. You are to live out in the open while so much more happens inside. Choking is parents, standing by the fences or waving as they let them go into their unwrapping. Rumbling is our hearts as it is surely one leap of faith for all to go well. It got to me when we drove off from the school, for the journey had started not just for the little one but also for all of us as a family. I literally cried while smiling, it was joy. To what might just be a quarter of their lifetime, God willing, a new chapter just started. I was having less to be worrying about and more to be thankful and hopeful for. How it went on from there is what by now we call, adapting and adjusting to changes in our lives. We did our best at "preparing" and the work is still great. It is not just homework that should be supervised exactly like how teacher is in class, but also the left behind lunchboxes to remind them to put in their backpacks, to hearing all about the new friends. The way every day seems to be an adventure for them and the clear tired faces while driving back home when it is recess also comes with its wonders. It is really something! I have been enjoying most the shocking moments I am amazed, when they mention something that I did not expect to come out from someone their age, how much they have learned in such little time and how different their experiences are from mine when I was starting off with school. It has been lovely seeing their handwriting improve and aligning. Unbelievable is the days when they wake up the second they hear you say morning and that is time to for school. However, the "shouting" to pick up the pace from then on goes, all I know is that the rush is real.

When reading Deuteronomy chapter 31 this morning, I felt challenged to channel my Moses. The reality here is that I am chosen to be a guide to the little ones right along my own self-tuning. As I work hard and faithfully so at being positive and trusting God's Lead, it sure is not for the faint hearted. Some mornings you deal with your little one not feeling like having breakfast. Do you recall how you became a like a monster, not taking excuses? How about that day they could not even put on socks right for they are just not in the mood? Have you had that crazy argument over facemasks not being where they should be and all of a sudden you are supposedly behind and traffic will hit you to a humbling chill? The communication from the school that you thought you went through but did not, and your child is asking for that fare to a fundraising already, in just three weeks into this schooling year... I mean wow! If you have not had the "uniform" talk as to stressing how important it is for them to take care of it, I am guessing you have noted the stationery debacle. Well, maybe you have noted how the school bag is obviously not going to make it throughout the year already. This is all part of your Destiney as a parent. It is really a good thing you are going through all of that. I am very proud of your involvement and commitment to your child's life.

In the joy, you feel when you are dropping off your child at school or seeing them off to school, do you ever see a Moses in you saying, I can no longer lead you, go on and be courageous? I have been finding it to be of this nature in my world. The morning prayers before departures are always comforting for this very reason, there is not much we are truly in control of is a constant reality check. The journey is not yours but your children. My honest safety net is to direct my anxiety on this with confidence that he will not forsake them as they head on their learning ride. The prayer for the usual walk and drive to and from school to be a safe one, prerequisite. The schooling environment to be welcoming every-day and worth their time, no comprise when praying. The parents there (teachers) to be blessed and be a blessing in the experience with the little ones, surely.

I have been working on being calm, with intentions to be firm in my faith for all to work out for their good as well as mine. The truth is neither of us are getting any younger just as Moses was not, and the challenges are growing daily. He worked on his relationship with God while fulfilling his destiny as a Leader to the Israelites. It is really not something to take lightly. It is important to be aware of who is really at work when investing in your parenthood and your children's lives. For you are only but a Moses in their lives, trusted in being a guide in their journey while truly lead by God. May he continue to keep us, Amen!

Acknowledge the one who goes before all of us in every journey. It is the Lord! Consider it a blessing when you get this truth, surrender to it and be content as you raise your children. It Matters, You Matter!
