Intentional Calm

Updated: Feb 10, 2021

Hello to the present time and You

Times have really changed and I have no shame in admitting that it has been one tale of rough sailing. The climax of this is the fact that I am actively playing my part, so I believe. As the wind blow to where it pleases, thankfully I have good reason to be rowing still. As long as I have a life to live, I will give my best to making it count. How about you? How are you holding up?

For as long as I can remember, staying compatible with my conscience has really helped me grow in expressing myself. There is a serious challenge you inherit for all the right reasons when you pay attention to your instincts about things. It is such a relief to be able to trust yourself on things after experience has had its way with lessons of what self-doubt can take away from you. Though self-trust won't automatically mean you will get everything right, it sure helps to be able to know that your judgment is laid upon sound confidence in what you believe to be right, in your heart and through intentional positive thinking. I am talking about being content with your soulfulness, your wholeness. There is really a lot that goes on in life not reliant to facts. For one, your faith. Considering that it is all about what surety and certainty over your hopes/what you long to experience, imagine how empty your life would be if you didn't have such a will to act based on your belief for things to work out, bland huh! You would have lost on a lot of excitement, joy and amusement. You would rarely ever take a chance on things, on you. I imagine, you would always deal with matters as black and white, no room to catch on a rainbow. Where is the fun in that?

As this new week starts, I am choosing to be a lot more open to my imagination. To be welcoming to my dreams of catching stars for as long as I can reach. I am going to let positivity stimulate my potential as much as possible. If there is someone who needs just a greeting to feel significant, I will let it be through me. When I feel like something is off, I will truly hold off a bit through a prayer. When I feel a bit too confident about something, I will still say a prayer first. The things I do to keep up with my zeal to be focused on self-development, I shall not overthink them out of fear to sound like a broken record. This is about swimming in my passions. The matter to all this goes with being truly invested in what you feel is of your authentic self, the things that separate you from the rest, Your intuition! Your soulfulness! Your gentleness! The vulnerable you. The cheesy you.

Your energy towards things and people is yours to generate and spread. There is a lot of elements giving a rise and low in our lives and it is often a matter of choice on how we receive them and let go just as well. There would be no need for your uniqueness if we were all meant to entertain/experience life the same way, I believe. When you find it hard to really tap into something very important, have you seen that one of the reason for that adds up to you trying to imitate someone's way of doing things? It could be a real worthy role model to emulate, but it is still you and not them trying to be like "them" and not yourself . In other words, it is okay to love something or someone, it is just much more fulfilling when you embrace your kind of way of expressing that love, so long it is good. This week, building on to the 14th of this "month of love", truly invest in putting a stamp on things by making it just your kind of way. As you are, in all your flaws and studs, just be close to your own intuitive nature, your charm, the things that separate you from the rest. At least, this is a goal, a standard I am trying to live by as I commit to growing in Love. It has proved worthy!

I will always love the lyrics to the song called Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield, "Release your inhibitions, feel the rain on your skin, no one else can feel it for you." This week I am going to focus on using my intuition to work for my good and not to my limits. I believe it is what the universe will receive well considering I have put it out there. In a nut shell, it appears I am choosing to have faith in me through him who confirms that I am not made up of fear (2 Timothy 1:7) and commands to be strong and of good courage (Joshua 1:9). This week I am choosing to be in it, for it, in a calm way. So far, it is clearly not perfect but I surely have a lot to attest on his watch over me. Do you have faith in you? DO YOU HAVE FAITH IN WHAT HE PUTS UNIQUELY IN YOU FROM THE REST? The Lord leads the way for you and when you do follow, he keeps with you. Try not to be so invested on the bad alone, for there is goodness in you that can use your attention.

It must be love, trust or just me feeling good about this week. I am being intentional on being calm. It is already tough times, so there is a need for warmth. It is a perfect time to work on my calm. The comfort remains embedded on the fact that I Matter and so do you!
