To the Father Of my Children

It is not that you are the best in the whole world, but in your children’s you are.

You are there in more ways than just of being a father, you are a shelter on your own. Home is not the same nor safe without you. Please know that your presence is everything.

You are down to earth, capable of expressing your joy shamelessly but with dignity in front of your kids. A sharer of laughter, a story teller. A riding buddy, fishing master, dancing partner.

You are brave and confident in your parenting. You know when to ask for help. You play your role so passionately. May your patience never run out and may you never feel as though you are not enough. Nurturing is in you. It is a beautiful thing to watch. Needed and appreciated will always be you!

You make mistakes and always come out stronger and wiser. You are teachable and always show interest in your little one’s lives; their gifts, strengths and weaknesses. You give great counsel and comfort. Teach the word of God and lead in prayers. You are a true leader. You not only help with practicing what you teach but you are modeling your role. Your friends and family admire you and they should. Proud of you!

You were there and still here. Every test, scan, trimester, panic, birth, first - cry, nappy, latch, rash, tooth, crawl, smile, word, birthday, school day… No matter the material in short off, your involvement, your dedication is priceless. You sacrifice a lot. You know when to give me space as a mother but never too far from reach. You honor your commitments as a Provider. You give more love than you receive! Peace be with you, you are Loved, as you are!

It is in this day that you get to have this dedication. May you never have to wonder if it is well deserved. Me and the kids value your life in ours. Not only as a husband or a father, but as a man worthy of the honor. You are outstanding. May God continue to Lead you.
