Recognize Your Fortitude, Recognize You…

Everything that looks like nothing, is something. That is how it is though we often do not recognize the build-up small things amount to. It is in every prayer you ever uttered, proclaiming his will to be done. In every single time you asked for his lead to pave your paths. The late nights you had to put in, the many plans that had to change and you’ve had to adjust. The time and strength it took for you to accept what was and that which is, however hard it proves to be, you have been at it for sure. That is how your attitude has been determining your approach, that is how you have been growing your patience. It is time to subtlety own it.

Let us get into this thing, this is about self-recognition. This is about appreciating how far you’ve come. It aims to get you to settle down and see you. Believe it or not, when life is going on as it does, it can be hard to see how the little investments you’ve been committed to have been working out for your good. It is not always easy to see God’s answers, especially if there is a specific way you feel and think is best. That is how self-acknowledgement trickery is. You need to see beyond desired results and focus on the lessons thrown at you along the way, the things that seem to be detours, the R50.00 you ended up saving instead of R200.00, this is about that, having managed to not lose interest when the odds were against you. You still did it even if it was no longer as promising. You still held on even when the thread was loose. You adjusted and adapted during the abrupt. You still dug for positivism when doom was looming. Circumstances prolonged what you desperately desired to attain right away and positioned yourself to, but you still managed to humble yourself, dust yourself, stand up and keep the faith. Can you please take a moment and recognize your fortitude…? Please!

As I have been aligning myself to starting this blog for a long time, one of the things I have been putting out is that one must make oneself proud. It has been an over played song of mine to focus on oneself. I have been sharing on how valid your dreams are. That you are enough, strong enough and obviously, that You Matter. In the book of Philippians 1:6, it is perfectly made clear that which has been started in you will be completed by your one and only enabler, You Maker, God. It only makes perfect sense, given he is the Alpha and Omega. This is why I truly found this as a matter that requires attention. You are not alone in everything that is requiring more of your patience. Your difficulties are not to be taken as disabilities nor limitations. They are actually getting you closer to where you are probably unaware as being where you need to be. It is one of those things where your wants are clearly not as appealing as you imagined the minute God supplies what you never knew you needed. This is who you need to focus on, the person who keeps having sufficient grace on their side. It surely can make all the difference.

In observing time, your redirects and progress, can you honestly fail to count your blessings and be humbled? Reflect on all your struggles and truly marvel at how amazing you have been, to have scored on some laughs even when the struggle remained active. Think of the words you managed to utter as you kneel, praying for better days, that was not easy but you still prayed. You did manage to pass at school even when you did not have “sufficient study resources”, the stove did shut down and you somehow put a meal on the table. A loved one passed on and it has not been EASY learning to live without them, however you are finding reasons to carry on. You are still doing all that you can to fetch your life even if it is one hell of a fight every single day. You are moulding your own breakthroughs, you are surrendering all to him even when the urges to be in control are pounding in your head like migraines. This is all you, enabled by the highest, can you see you? Can you be proud of you already; your efforts are paying off, you better recognize.

May this be enough encouragement to have it in you to keep going, to never give up on yourself. Your attitude will surely determine your approach, make sure you make yourself proud and remember that, like prayer, patience is virtue. It will always matter to your Longevity, if you recognize that You Matter!

Some scriptures to enjoy with this read are; Hebrews 11:1 , Philippians 4:6, Galatians 6:9 and Romans 12:12
