Hi
First thing first. I am Livhuwani Tshikovhi, a woman in her early thirties who is very short but dreams beyond her height. During my childhood I was quite active and loved dance and acting. I was also an impressive learner at school. As you can imagine, life happens as well as it humbles with no warning. I still dance lots. Anyways, this has lead me to “You Matter!”, something I believe most of us tend to forget.
It has been a journey that I have come to truly embrace like never before, this life and growth matters. I am sure I have disappointed and embarrassed many there and there with my life choices, but the real matter is that I can safely admit to disappointing and embarrassing myself too. This is nothing to ponder much on though, as it only wastes time and limit one’s potential.
I am a wife to one loving man with no side guy wasting my time. This married life of seven years, gracefully given by God, has come with two little ones who have been humbling us for six years now. I needed to mention the part of being humbled because it matters hey, pheeeuw!
I have been blessed with three brothers who truly have been my role models beyond comprehension. As You can imagine, this has made me long for sisterhood to somewhat extreme lengths. Luckily, I have been blessed to have really good and valuable relationships with a few women in my lifetime. What more can I ask for really, that is sisterhood. I am not about to forsake my roots as a proud Venda woman, this means I am blessed with many loved ones who have helped shape my being. I am thankful for that (Aa!).
Gracious Lord, my parents, who have been really patient with me and shown love the best way they know how. It is truly not an easy task this parenting matter, I have come to understand. I really appreciate them and always pray that they find rest in knowing that I wish them well always.
I am currently employed as a public servant in the Agricultural regulatory ministry and tapped in on commerce in strategic management as far as business studies are concerned. Recently, I took on a challenge to sharpen my business skills by being an Avon Representative. I am amazing myself really, being busy advocating to beauty matters such as make-up during lock-down (what a time we are living in). I am taking it as a matter of caution to remind women that looking and feeling good is not only for others to see and compliment, but about “You”.
The real practice I keep busy with is being a firm prayerful woman. I have no doubt without my faith I would be short in terms of life quality. What is life without prayer? I do not wish to know.
May this blog truly add value to your life as you Invest in Yourself, as it Matters, and You Matter!
Regards
Livhuwani
