There is a need to thank God for his grace still. There is a sense of wonder in just about everything happening in life as a whole. Simply put, if you are giving it your all, you surely must agree that there is a lot that has surprised you lately and a lot of moments that left you thinking, well, that must have been destined to be, regardless of how unpleasant it may have been. That is just the way it is!
Not so long ago, I injured my foot a day before a very special and long awaited day. I even missed on the severity of the injury until on that secret day, right after prayer, I suddenly felt a sharp aching. The thought of it didn't really shake me, I didn't suddenly become superstitious that it would be a bad day. I trust that I was in a good space considering the usual worry I seem to foolishly indulge on, of whether it would rain or not on the day, did not even come to mind. Considering that I am one of those brides who got wed on a rainy day, it had become such a daunting thing that whenever something "big"/"special" is to take place, it rains. To my surprise, I was so at peace. I took pleasure in knowing that it was a day to be thankful and a lot needed to be recognized with a grateful heart. That is the power of being gratuitous. When it is meant to be a good day, nothing bad can take away from it.
It is likewise with a lot of eventualities in our lives. I am talking about the difficult circumstances that suddenly leave us shook, right before festivities. The kind of things that no matter how intelligent you are, you cannot quite make sense of it all. And before you know it, life went on so fast, and everything seem to work out. I can imagine the gladness you feel when it is all done and you seldom find yourself thinking of that moment and still be strained. Yes, that was so unpleasant, certainly. However, it becomes more of a relief and amazement that You/I/We managed to be joyful even after such a huddle. Like the rain on your wedding day, it didn't stop you from making those vows. The failed bakes, didn't stop you from putting out food on the table. The missing pen that caused a panic right before exam starts, it somehow didn't make you completely miss out on writing. Someone shared, and life went on. Someone was just so infectiously positive, solutions flooded in and what was meant to be, did suffice.
Imagine those pimples that suddenly popped up the day before your interview, do you recall how for a moment you thought it would interfere with your confidence and started feeling like it is a sign of bad luck? Well, do you also remember how silly you felt when you were done with the interview and you felt good about how fearless you ended up being? I do not know about you, but as I write, it is all coming back to me. What a rush! Not only do things work out as they should, they also leave you stunned. I can only imagine what it is that ended up working out for you even after so much worked against its success. Outstanding!
There use to be those teachers who were known for having memorable whipping abilities should you ever find yourself in the receiving end, during basic learning phase. It must have been scary when it finally did happen, but guess what, you still came back the next day to school and messed up some more and before you knew it, it was normal. For me, most of those teachers never did get a chance, but those who did, well, lets just say it ain't fun but it actually make you feel like you are a survivor of some sort, especially right before high school level. A boost really, not that I am condoning messing up at school. It might as well make an interesting topic during school breaks, not so bad at that moment when your friends are laughing at and with you. Life can be like this. You can be so held up in anticipation of bad things happening to you to a point of being left paralyzed with anxiety, but as soon as you are through it, you get a wow," I can't believe it was just that and now its all history". What is meant to be just a right passage will always make you rather than break you, believe this!
So, on this day, I am encouraging you to have that kind of positive vibe shaking you to your inner core. No matter how dark that cloud is looming over you, for some reason, it is a clear sky else where. That can only mean the sun is to liven things up, surely though slowly, easing the clouds into clarity you most desire. Kindly be gentle with yourself and take it as it comes, without loosing hope. For there is no permanent residency that sensation of doom looming can hold against you, if in you there is an aspiration for good. It will pass and what is meant to be will always be.
As this beautiful song, "trust and obey", come to mind, there is definitely no other way to be happy in Jesus but one just continuing to trust and obey. Hold on to your hope for the better. Trust that the prayers you invest towards all your heart's desires, are heard and His will shall be fulfilling. It matters that you always find yourself respecting the higher power, and that your faith and the work you put in, will not be in vain. - Psalms 20:4 / Psalms 37: 4/ James 2:26/ Jeremiah 29:12-13
Invest in harnessing a sense of comfort in knowing that his plans for you are to prosper you and give hope, it matters, You Matter! - Jeremiah 29:11
Be at peace with what is, with hope that what is meant to be, will always be!
